Responsibilities

• Design and draft detailed architectural plans and presentations using design software.
• Oversee the drafting of plans and specifications by junior architects and interns.
• Innovate and implement sustainable and cost-efficient building methods.
• Review and analyze project proposals to ensure feasibility and adherence to client specifications.
• Participate in community engagement sessions to gather input for architectural projects.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Urban Planning or related field
• Master's degree in Architecture is a plus

Experience

• 5+ years in diverse architectural projects

Technical Skills

• SketchUp
• Photoshop

Soft Skills

• Communication
• Negotiation

Certifications

• Professional Engineer (PE) license
• Green Building Certification

Languages

• English: Fluent
• isiZulu: Basic

Advantageous

• Proven track record of successful project delivery: Experience managing projects from concept to completion.
• Membership in professional architectural associations: Active membership in organizations such as the South African Institute of Architects (SAIA).
