Job Description

We are seeking a passionate Food Scientist to join our team in Johannesburg. The ideal candidate will focus on developing new food products and improving existing ones while ensuring compliance with food safety regulations. This role will involve conducting research and experiments to innovate and solve complex challenges in food production.

Responsibilities

  • Research and assess new ingredients and technologies for product development.
  • Develop and revise product specifications to ensure quality and safety.
  • Collaborate with analysts to interpret data from various experiments.
  • Engage with suppliers and external partners for sourcing ingredients.
  • Contribute to project meetings and present findings to cross-functional teams.

Requirements

Education
  • Bachelor's degree in Food Technology or related discipline
  • Master's degree in Food Science is considered an advantage
Experience
  • 4+ years of experience in food product development
