Job Description

We are seeking a talented Civil Engineer to join our team in Port Elizabeth. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in civil engineering principles, project management, and experience in site supervision. You will be responsible for planning, managing, and overseeing construction projects while ensuring compliance with safety standards and regulations.

Responsibilities

• Conduct feasibility studies and risk assessments.
• Develop project budgets and timelines, monitoring expenditures.
• Implement best practices for civil engineering design and construction.
• Facilitate communication among various project stakeholders.
• Provide leadership and guidance to junior engineers and subcontractors.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering
• Registered with the Engineering Council of South Africa (ECSA) is preferred

Experience

• 5+ years of experience working on civil engineering projects

Technical Skills

• Civil 3D
• Microsoft Project

Soft Skills

• Leadership
• Problem-solving

Certifications

• Certified Construction Manager (CCM)

Languages

• English: Fluent

Advantageous

• Proficiency in structural design software: Experience with software such as SAP2000 and ETABS.
• Knowledge of local building codes: Understanding of South African construction and safety regulations.
