Job Description

We are looking for a Structural Engineer to join our vibrant team in Cape Town. The ideal candidate should possess a solid foundation in structural design principles, innovative thinking, and project management. You will be responsible for leading projects from conception through to completion, ensuring compliance with regulations, and delivering sustainable and cost-effective solutions.

Responsibilities

• Design and draft detailed structural designs for various building projects.
• Review and modify technical drawings and plans as per client requirements.
• Perform site inspections and surveys to ensure project sustainability and compliance.
• Collaborate with architects, engineers, and contractors to finalize design specifications.
• Evaluate potential site development and utility requirements.
• Guide and mentor junior engineers and interns in best practices.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or related field
• Master's degree is advantageous

Experience

• 4+ years of experience in structural engineering

Technical Skills

• AutoCAD
• Structural Analysis Software
• Project Management

Certifications

• Professional Engineer (Pr. Eng.) registration
• Certified Structural Engineer (CSE)

• English: Fluent
