Mellowing Machine Operator

Job Description

As a Mellowing Machine Operator, you'll be integral to the production process, responsible for operating and maintaining machinery to mellow tobacco products effectively. You will ensure adherence to production schedules and quality standards while troubleshooting any operational issues.

Responsibilities

• Set up and calibrate mellowing equipment for optimal performance.
• Adjust machinery settings during the mellowing process as necessary.
• Supervise adherence to safety protocols throughout the operation.
• Conduct routine checks and maintenance on the mellowing equipment.
• Report any malfunctions or inefficiencies to the Production Manager.
• Document production metrics and process improvements.
• Assist in developing training materials for new staff.
• Ensure compliance with environmental standards and best practices.

Requirements

Education

• Grade 12 or equivalent
• Diploma in Production Technology or relevant field is advantageous

Experience

• 2+ years of experience in the tobacco manufacturing sector preferred.

Technical Skills

• Experience with Tobacco Equipment
• Quality Control Knowledge

Languages

• English: Fluent

• Technical Drawing Interpretation: Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and manuals.
