Job Description

We are looking for an Assistant Nurse to join our team in Durban. The ideal candidate will assist in administering patient care, maintaining a clean and safe patient environment, and supporting the nursing staff in daily operations.

Responsibilities

• Monitor patient conditions and report any changes.
• Assist in the preparation of medical equipment and supplies.
• Provide emotional support to patients and families.
• Engage in patient safety initiatives and quality improvement projects.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to provide comprehensive care.

Requirements

Education

• Nursing Degree or equivalent

Experience

• 2+ years of experience preferred

Technical Skills

• Basic Life Support (BLS)
• Patient Records Management

Soft Skills

• Time Management
• Teamwork

Certifications

• First Aid Training Certification

Languages

• English: Fluent

Advantageous

• Experience in a fast-paced hospital environment: Ability to work efficiently in high-pressure situations.
• Bilingual abilities: Speaking additional languages can be beneficial.
