Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated Veterinary Surgeon to join our passionate team in Johannesburg. The ideal candidate will possess strong clinical skills, a compassionate approach to animal care, and the ability to work collaboratively in a dynamic environment. You will be responsible for diagnosing and treating a variety of conditions in pets and providing preventative care.

Responsibilities

  • Evaluate the health status of animals and provide treatment.
  • Perform routine surgeries and manage anesthesia.
  • Engage in client education and support.
  • Create and implement wellness plans for animals.
  • Contribute to the development of clinic policies and protocols.
  • Assist in training and developing veterinary support staff.
  • Maintain a clean and orderly work environment.
  • Participate in research projects relevant to veterinary medicine.
  • Build strong relationships with pet owners for better compliance.
  • Document all findings and procedures accurately.

Requirements

Education
  • Master's degree in Veterinary Medicine is a plus
Experience
  • 3+ years of experience in a veterinary environment, particularly in surgery
