Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated General Practitioner to join our team in Durban. The ideal candidate will have a strong focus on patient care and a commitment to improving community health. This role involves diagnosing and treating various medical conditions, providing preventative care, and collaborating with other healthcare professionals to ensure patient wellbeing.

Responsibilities

• Manage patient flow and ensure timely visits.
• Educate patients and families about health and wellness issues.
• Document all patient interactions in electronic health records.
• Coordinate care with other healthcare team members.
• Assess patient needs and barriers to treatment.
• Participate in case reviews and clinical meetings.
• Advocate for patients within the healthcare system.
• Engage in research opportunities relevant to community health.

Requirements

Education

• MBChB or equivalent medical degree
• Postgraduate qualification in Family Medicine or Internal Medicine is advantageous

Experience

• 5+ years of general practice experience
