Software Tester

Job Description

We are on the lookout for a skilled Software Tester to join our dynamic team in Cape Town. In this role, you will focus on executing test cases, identifying bugs, and ensuring the software meets the highest quality standards.

Responsibilities

• Execute manual and automated tests based on defined test cases.
• Report bugs and verify defect fixes promptly.
• Work alongside other testers and developers in an agile team.
• Analyze test results and provide recommendations for improvements.
• Maintain testing documentation and support continuous improvement.
• Participate in the development of user stories and acceptance criteria.
• Facilitate user acceptance testing with clients.
• Provide status updates to the QA Manager on testing progress.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field

Experience

• 3+ years of experience in software testing

Technical Skills

• Manual Testing
• Automated Testing
• Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC)
• Bug Tracking Software

Soft Skills

• Analytical Skills
• Attention to Detail

Certifications

• ISTQB Certified Tester
• Certified Software Tester (CST)

Languages

• English: Fluent

• Experience with Security Testing: Understanding of security testing practices and tools.
