Structural Engineer

Job Description

As a Structural Engineer at Innovative Structures Corp., you will engage in designing various structures, performing calculations, and ensuring the integrity and sustainability of projects from concept through completion.

Responsibilities

• Design complex structures and prepare calculations.
• Manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet deadlines.
• Conduct feasibility studies for proposed projects.
• Design preliminary and detailed drawings for construction.
• Prepare project briefs for clients and stakeholders.
• Consult with contractors during the construction process.
• Ensure projects are completed within budget and to client specifications.
• Maintain comprehensive project documentation and records.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or Structural Engineering
• Master's degree in Engineering Management is a plus

Experience

• 5 - 8 years of experience working in structural design and project management

Technical Skills

• Revit
• Finite Element Analysis

Soft Skills

• Leadership
• Negotiation

Certifications

• Certified Structural Engineer (CSE)

Languages

• English: Fluent

Advantageous

• Familiarity with local building codes: Understanding of Gauteng's specific construction regulations.
• Experience with project management software: Proficient in using tools like MS Project or Primavera.
