Job Description

We are seeking a talented Structural Engineer to join our Durban team. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of structural design principles, materials, and construction processes. In this role, you will be responsible for designing, analyzing, and evaluating structures to ensure safety and compliance with regulations.

Responsibilities

• Lead the development of structural design concepts from the ground up.
• Conduct feasibility studies to assess project viability.
• Engage in continuous improvement practices to enhance efficiency.
• Collaborate across departments to ensure integrated project delivery.
• Supervise field tests and inspect completed work for compliance.
• Prepare and present technical information to stakeholders.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Civil or Structural Engineering
• Master's degree preferred

Experience

• 5+ years of relevant structural engineering experience

Technical Skills

• Revit
• STAAD.Pro

Soft Skills

• Problem-solving
• Leadership

Certifications

• LEED Accredited Professional (LEED AP)
• Certified Construction Manager (CCM)

Languages

• English: Fluent

Advantageous

• Knowledge of seismic design principles: Familiarity with structural design to withstand seismic activity.
• Experience in multi-storey building projects: Hands-on experience with large-scale construction projects.
