Job Description

We are looking for a Data Scientist to contribute to our data analytics team in Johannesburg. The ideal candidate will leverage data analysis, machine learning, and statistical modeling to derive insights and drive strategic decisions. You will be part of a dynamic, fast-paced environment, working with a diverse set of data to deliver actionable insights.

Responsibilities

• Utilize statistical techniques to analyze large datasets.
• Work closely with IT and management to integrate actionable insights into business strategies.
• Present findings clearly to various stakeholders through reports and dashboards.
• Conduct A/B testing to enhance decision-making processes.
• Provide mentorship and guidance to junior data analysts.
• Enhance data collection procedures to include information relevant for building analytic systems.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Mathematics or Computer Science
• Master's degree in a relevant field is an advantage

Experience

• 4+ years experience in data analysis or related role

• Data Visualization

Certifications

• Google Data Analytics Certificate
• Certified Machine Learning Specialist

Languages

• English: Native

Advantageous

• Certified in Tableau or Power BI: Certification in data visualization tools for creating dashboards.
• Experience working in Agile teams: Previous work experience in Agile environments would be beneficial.
