Job Description

We are looking for a Data Scientist to contribute to our data analytics team in Johannesburg. The ideal candidate will leverage data analysis, machine learning, and statistical modeling to derive insights and drive strategic decisions. Responsibilities

• Translate business requirements into technical specifications for data models.
• Develop and maintain data pipelines for efficient data processing.
• Coordinate with data engineers to ensure data availability and quality.
• Perform exploratory data analysis to generate insights.
• Engage with stakeholders to understand their data needs and challenges.
• Assist in developing and deploying deployment pipelines for machine learning models.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Mathematics or Computer Science
• Master's degree in a relevant field is an advantage

Experience

• 4+ years experience in data analysis or related role

• Data Visualization

Certifications

• Google Data Analytics Certificate
• Certified Machine Learning Specialist

Languages

• English: Native

Advantageous

• Certified in Tableau or Power BI: Certification in data visualization tools for creating dashboards.
• Experience working in Agile teams: Previous work experience in Agile environments would be beneficial.
