Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated Mental Health Counselor to join our team in Cape Town. This role focuses on providing emotional support, counseling, and interventions to individuals facing mental health challenges. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in counseling and a genuine passion for helping others.

Responsibilities

  • Deliver counseling services to diverse populations, focusing on trauma-informed care.
  • Evaluate client progress and adjust treatment plans as necessary.
  • Provide crisis intervention and support as required.
  • Engage in community outreach and education about mental health.
  • Participate in case consultations with supervisor.
  • Document treatment outcomes and participate in quality improvement initiatives.

Requirements

Education
  • Bachelor's degree in Psychology or related field
  • Master's degree in Counseling or Social Work preferred
Experience
  • 2+ years of experience in mental health counseling
