We are seeking a qualified Veterinary Surgeon to join our dynamic veterinary practice in Durban. The successful candidate will provide high-quality clinical care, perform surgeries, and develop treatment plans for our diverse range of patients.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate and diagnose health problems in a broad spectrum of animals.
• Conduct surgical operations following best practices.
• Offer routine wellness exams and treatment recommendations.
• Manage medical records and treatment documentation accurately.
• Communicate effectively with pet owners regarding health and care options.
• Work closely with the veterinary team to enhance practice efficiency.
• Provide emergency care as needed, handling critical cases.
• Train and mentor junior veterinary staff and students.
• Engage in continuing education and professional development.
• Maintain health and safety standards within the clinic.

Requirements

Education

• Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM)

Experience

• Experience in emergency veterinary care is an advantage.

• Anaesthesia Management

Certifications

• Emergency and Critical Care Certification

Languages

• English: Fluent
• Afrikaans: Basic
