Job Description

We are in search of an experienced Bookkeeper to join our dynamic Port Elizabeth team. The successful candidate will manage a variety of financial tasks including maintaining accurate and up-to-date financial records, processing transactions, and preparing financial reports. If you have a high attention to detail, strong organizational skills, and a passion for numbers, we want to hear from you!

Responsibilities

• Document and track all financial transactions per established protocols.
• Assist teams in budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning.
• Regularly update and maintain the accounting database.
• Report discrepancies in financial data to management.
• Provide backup support for the Finance Manager during absences.
• Work with external accountants to ensure proper processing of financial transactions.
• Participate in team meetings to discuss financial health and planning.
• Developing reports for stakeholders on financial performance.
• Maintain records of financial transactions and assets.
• Engage in continuous professional development to enhance bookkeeping skills.

Requirements

Education

• Degree in Accounting or Finance is preferred
• Any additional accounting certifications are a plus

Experience

• 5+ years in bookkeeping or financial management roles

Technical Skills

• SAGE Accounting Software

• Communication

Languages

• English: Fluent

Advantageous

• Knowledge of IFRS: Familiarity with International Financial Reporting Standards.
• Advanced Excel Skills: Expertise in Excel functions including VLOOKUP and Pivot Tables.
