Our dental practice is looking for an experienced Dentist to join our team in Port Elizabeth. The ideal candidate will have a passion for dentistry and a dedication to providing quality dental care. Responsibilities include diagnosing and treating dental issues, performing procedures, and educating patients on oral health.

Responsibilities

• Manage a diverse caseload of patients with various dental issues.
• Implement preventive measures to ensure long-term oral health.
• Evaluate and improve practice protocols to enhance patient care.
• Conduct research and clinical trials where applicable.
• Mentor junior dental staff and interns.
• Engage with patients to build lasting relationships based on trust.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor of Dental Surgery (BDS)
• Specialist degree in orthodontics or oral surgery preferred

Experience

• 5+ years of clinical experience preferred

Technical Skills

• Cosmetic Dentistry
• Endodontics

Soft Skills

• Leadership
• Time Management

Certifications

• Orthodontic certification (if applicable)
• Advanced Trauma Life Support (ATLS)

Languages

• English: Fluent
• Xhosa: Conversational

Advantageous

• Membership in professional dental associations: Active member of the South African Dental Association (SADA) or similar organizations.
• Bilingualism in English and Afrikaans: Proficiency in both English and Afrikaans enhances patient communication.
