Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Chemical Engineer to join our team in Durban. The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing and optimizing chemical processes, ensuring safety and efficiency while also considering environmental impacts. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop innovative solutions that meet client needs.

Responsibilities

  • Analyze and interpret experimental data to refine processes.
  • Oversee the implementation of new technologies.
  • Coordinate with quality assurance teams to meet product specifications.
  • Prepare and present findings to management.
  • Ensure effective waste management and sustainability practices.
  • Assist in the development of new chemical products.
  • Maintain documentation of all engineering processes.
  • Lead project teams in engineering design reviews.
  • Develop training materials for new hires.
  • Evaluate vendor proposals and equipment specifications.

Requirements

Education
  • Bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering or related field
  • Master's degree in Chemical Engineering is preferable
Experience
  • 5+ years of experience in the field of chemical engineering
