Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Mechanical Engineer to join our well-regarded engineering team in Durban. The ideal candidate will be involved in diverse projects, from design to testing and implementation, ensuring optimal system performance and innovative solutions tailored to client needs.

Responsibilities

• Oversee the installation and testing of mechanical systems.
• Identify and resolve engineering issues during project implementation.
• Liaise with clients to understand project requirements and provide updates.
• Develop and maintain project schedules and budgets.
• Assist in the training and development of junior engineers.
• Conduct risk assessments and ensure compliance with industry regulations.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent
• Master's degree in Engineering Management is a plus

Experience

• 5+ years of experience in mechanical engineering roles

Technical Skills

• AutoCAD
• Thermodynamics
• Lean Manufacturing

Soft Skills

Languages

• English: Fluent

Advantageous

• Knowledge of renewable energy systems: Experience with solar, wind, or other renewable systems.
