Job Description

We are currently seeking a skilled Structural Iron and Steel Worker to join our crew. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience in ironwork and steel fabrication, with a strong understanding of safety protocols in construction environments.

Responsibilities

• Execute the installation of structural beams, columns, and other steel components.
• Ensure all work performed meets industry standards and regulations.
• Collaborate with engineers and architects to ensure compliance with designs.
• Participate in ongoing training to stay updated with industry practices.
• Assist with site lay-down and material handling as needed.
• Perform stress tests and evaluations on structural components.
• Lead a crew of workers during installations and ensure quality control.
• Keep abreast of project developments and manage resources efficiently.
• Maintain tools and equipment in accordance with safety standards.
• Support project scheduling and work planning efforts.

Requirements

Education

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Technical qualification in construction or engineering desirable

Experience

• 3-5 years of experience in structural work or related field

Technical Skills

• Rigging and Hoisting Skills
• Heavy Machinery Operation

Soft Skills

• Communication
• Adaptability

Certifications

• Forklift Operator License (desired)
• Certified Steel Erector (preferred)

Languages

• English: Fluent

Advantageous

• First Aid Certification: Certifications in First Aid enhance workplace safety.
