Learning and Development Specialist

Job Description

We are on the lookout for a passionate Learning and Development Specialist to join our Durban team. In this role, you will be responsible for designing and implementing training programs that foster employee growth and enhance overall performance. You will collaborate closely with various departments to identify training needs and develop targeted learning solutions that align with our organizational goals.

Responsibilities

• Identify skills gaps within the organization and propose solutions.
• Develop and maintain a comprehensive training calendar.
• Collaborate with external trainers and consultants as necessary.
• Ensure training content is relevant and up-to-date.
• Leverage technology to enhance training delivery.
• Coordinate logistics for training events, including scheduling and venue selection.
• Support the development of leadership training initiatives.
• Monitor training budgets and resource allocation.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Education, Human Resources, or a related field
• Master's degree in Business Administration or related field is preferred

Experience

• 5+ years of experience within a learning and development capacity

Technical Skills

• Instructional Design
• Data Analysis

Soft Skills

• Critical Thinking
• Project Management

Certifications

• Certified Training and Development Professional (CTDP)

Languages

• English: Fluent

Advantageous

• Proficient in using content creation software: Experience with tools such as Articulate, Camtasia, or Adobe Captivate.
• Experience in workforce development programs: Knowledge of initiatives focused on employee skills enhancement.
