Job Description

We are seeking a talented Mechanical Engineer to join our team in Port Elizabeth. The successful candidate will play a key role in designing, developing, and testing mechanical systems, contributing to various innovative engineering projects.

Responsibilities

• Create detailed designs and specifications for mechanical components.
• Engage in cross-functional collaboration to drive project success.
• Perform root cause analysis on technical issues and implement solutions.
• Manage documentation for design changes and project updates.
• Facilitate testing of prototypes and analyze results.
• Coordinate with manufacturing teams to ensure quality production.
• Maintain a strong focus on safety and environmental standards.
• Support continuous improvement initiatives within the engineering team.
• Mentor junior engineers in design processes and best practices.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or similar
• Master's degree in a relevant discipline is preferred

Experience

• 5+ years of experience in a mechanical engineering role

Technical Skills

• Finite Element Analysis (FEA)
• Project Management Software

Soft Skills

• Leadership

Certifications

• Certified Six Sigma Green Belt
• Project Management Professional (PMP)

Languages

• English: Fluent

Advantageous

• Knowledge of HVAC systems: Experience in designing and implementing HVAC solutions.
