Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Accountant to join our dynamic team in Johannesburg. The ideal candidate will be responsible for overseeing financial reporting, tax compliance, and ensuring the accuracy of financial records. The role requires strong analytical skills and attention to detail to support our financial operations and provide insights into our financial performance.

Responsibilities

• Manage daily financial transactions and ensure accuracy.
• Ensure timely submission of financial reports to management.
• Coordinate with external auditors for financial reviews.
• Analyze account discrepancies and resolve issues.
• Support financial planning and strategic initiatives.
• Maintain a comprehensive filing system for financial documents.
• Monitor compliance with financial policies and procedures.
• Provide insights into financial performance and KPIs.
• Develop and maintain relationships with financial institutions.
• Train junior staff on accounting procedures and tools.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field
• Honours degree in Finance or equivalent is preferred

Experience

• 5+ years of relevant accounting experience

• Accounting Software Proficiency
• Budgeting and Forecasting

Certifications

• Certified Management Accountant (CMA)

Languages

• English: Fluent

Advantageous

• Proficiency in Advanced Excel: Strong skills in Excel including VLOOKUP and pivot tables.
