Job Description

As a Structural Iron and Steel Worker, you will play a critical role in constructing and repairing buildings, bridges, and other structures. You will work closely with a team of skilled tradespeople, ensuring that projects are completed on time and meet safety standards.

Responsibilities

• Follow safety procedures and regulations during all aspects of work.
• Assist in the construction of concrete forms and steel structures.
• Perform physical tasks including lifting and moving materials.
• Collaborate with engineers and architects to solve structural issues.
• Prepare and clean work areas for the daily tasks.
• Monitor construction equipment and report any damages or faults.
• Install metal frameworks and sheet metal components.

Requirements

Education

• National Senior Certificate (matric)
• Trade certificate in Structural Work or relevant qualification

Experience

• At least 2-3 years’ experience in structural work

Technical Skills

• Blueprint Reading
• Tool Operation

Soft Skills

• Teamwork
• Communication

Certifications

• First Aid Certification
• Safety Training Certificate

Languages

• English: Fluent

Advantageous

• Experience with Welding: Familiarity with various welding techniques and practices.
