We are seeking a passionate Mental Health Counselor to join our team in Port Elizabeth. The ideal candidate will possess a strong foundation in mental health principles and practices. This role involves providing therapeutic support and guidance to individuals dealing with mental health issues, creating personalized treatment plans, and collaborating with our team of healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive care.

Responsibilities

• Conduct individual and group counseling sessions.
• Create and implement treatment plans for clients.
• Assess clients’ mental health needs and track their progress.
• Provide crisis intervention and support.
• Collaborate with other healthcare professionals.
• Participate in community outreach and education programs.
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date client records.
• Stay informed of developments in mental health field.
• Develop therapeutic relationships with clients.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Psychology or Social Work
• Postgraduate qualification is an advantage

Experience

• 1-2 years of experience in mental health or related field
