Job Description

We are seeking a passionate Event Planner to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a flair for creativity and exceptional organizational skills, dedicated to delivering a range of events from corporate functions to weddings. You will be responsible for coordinating logistics, managing budgets, and ensuring every aspect of the event is aligned with our clients’ vision.

Responsibilities

• Create detailed event plans that outline all aspects of the execution.
• Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations.
• Coordinate with the venue staff to ensure high standards are met.
• Assist in designing promotional materials for events.
• Monitor and manage event timelines to deliver on-time.
• Gather feedback from clients and participants for continual improvement.
• Train and supervise junior staff and volunteers during events.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Business Management or related field
• Master's degree in Event Management is preferred

Experience

• 5+ years of experience in event planning or project management

Technical Skills

• Event Design
• Vendor Management

Soft Skills

• Leadership
• Crisis Management

Certifications

• Certified Event Planner (CEP)
• Event Industry Certification

Languages

• English: Fluent
• Zulu: Conversational

Advantageous

• Experience in corporate event planning: Thorough understanding of corporate culture and expectations.
• Fluent in more than two languages: Advantageous for working with diverse client base.
