Job Description

We are looking for a dedicated Veterinarian to join our team in Pretoria. The ideal candidate will be passionate about animal health and welfare, providing high-quality medical care, performing surgeries, and advising pet owners. You will be responsible for diagnosing conditions, developing treatment plans, and conducting preventative care to ensure the well-being of our furry patients.

Responsibilities

  • Examine pets to detect signs of illnesses or injury.
  • Develop treatment protocols and follow up with clients.
  • Perform surgical interventions and monitor recovery.
  • Provide preventive care, including dental health and vaccinations.
  • Consult with pet owners to discuss health concerns and treatment options.
  • Coordinate with staff for scheduling appointments and managing patient flow.
  • Participate in continuing education and professional development.
  • Maintain high standards for animal care and facility cleanliness.

Requirements

Education
  • Bachelor of Veterinary Science (BVSc) or equivalent degree
  • Postgraduate qualification in veterinary surgery or similar is advantageous
Experience
  • 3+ years in a mixed or small animal practice
