Job Description

As a Bookkeeper in Port Elizabeth, you will take charge of data entry, bank reconciliations, and ensuring that all financial records are kept up to date. The role requires someone who is detail-oriented and has a passion for numbers, ensuring accurate financial management and support for our accounting team.

Responsibilities

  • Record and process daily financial transactions in an accurate manner.
  • Manage bank reconciliations effectively to maintain cash flow.
  • Prepare regular reports summarizing the financial position.
  • Assist in preparing budgets and forecasts based on historical data.
  • Ensure compliance with statutory laws and regulations in bookkeeping.
  • Liaise with clients and suppliers regarding invoices and queries.
  • Manage filing systems for financial documents to promote organization.
  • Train and mentor junior staff in accounting procedures.

Requirements

Education
  • National Certificate in Accounting
  • Bachelor's degree in Finance or related field is advantageous
Experience
  • 3+ years of relevant experience in bookkeeping or financial administration
