We are seeking an experienced Insurance Underwriter to work in our Johannesburg office. You will utilize your expertise to analyze risk factors and assess claims while maintaining exceptional customer service. Ideal candidates will be proficient in underwriting software and possess excellent communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive risk assessments to evaluate applicants.
• Make informed decisions on coverage applications and adjustments.
• Work with claims adjusters to confirm underwriting adequacy.
• Communicate effectively with clients to clarify policy details.
• Maintain a high level of accuracy in documenting decisions and transactions.
• Adhere to internal policies, legal standards, and regulatory requirements.
• Develop strong relationships with agents and clients through effective communication.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Business or Finance
• Postgraduate qualifications are a plus.

Experience

• 3-5 years of experience in the insurance industry, particularly in underwriting
