Job Description

As a Heavy and Tractor-Trailer Truck Driver, you will be responsible for the timely and safe transportation of goods to our clients. This role requires adherence to traffic laws, effective communication with clients, and a commitment to maintaining the highest standards of safety.

Responsibilities

• Operate heavy and tractor-trailer trucks to transport a variety of goods.
• Load cargo securely and ensure proper weight distribution.
• Plan delivery routes considering traffic, weather, and other factors.
• Assist in training less experienced drivers on company policies and procedures.
• Report any mechanical issues to maintenance immediately.
• Maintain cleanliness and readiness of the vehicle.
• Engage with clients and resolve any delivery-related inquiries.
• Follow safety protocols to prevent accidents and injuries.

Requirements

Education

• Matric certificate or equivalent

Experience

• At least 3 years driving experience, preferably in logistics.

Technical Skills

• Refrigerated Truck Experience
• Electronic Logging Devices (ELD)

Soft Skills

• Attention to Detail
• Time Management

Certifications

• First Aid Certification

Languages

• English: Fluent
• Afrikaans: Basic
