As an Actuary in our Johannesburg office, you will engage in assessing financial risks and providing essential data-driven insights to help shape financial strategies. Responsibilities

• Provide insights on financial product performance and risk levels.
• Design scenarios to stress-test financial plans and outcomes.
• Evaluate assumptions used in actuarial models and recommend necessary adjustments.
• Collaborate with IT for efficient data management solutions.
• Stay abreast of advancements in actuarial science and finance.
• Contribute to team reports with clear and concise information and analysis.
• Engage with external auditors during reviews and inquiries.
• Review insurance policies to ensure appropriate pricing and risk coverage.

Requirements

Education

• Master's degree in Actuarial Science or related field is preferred
• Additional certifications in data analysis or financial management are advantageous

Experience

• 5+ years of extensive experience in actuarial roles
