Inventory Control Specialist

Job Description

We are seeking an Inventory Control Specialist to oversee our inventory management processes in Cape Town. The successful candidate will be instrumental in maintaining optimal stock levels, ensuring accuracy in inventory records, and implementing systems to improve efficiency.

Responsibilities

• Oversee the receiving and storage of inventory to maintain accurate records.
• Implement strategies to reduce excess inventory and minimize waste.
• Coordinate with various departments to ensure timely stock replenishment.
• Monitor inventory performance metrics and take corrective action when necessary.
• Conduct root cause analysis for inventory discrepancies and implement corrective actions.
• Research and apply best practices in inventory management and control.
• Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations in relation to inventory handling.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, or related field

Experience

• 3-5 years of experience in inventory management or related field

Technical Skills

• Inventory Management Software
• Excel

Certifications

• Certified in Production and Inventory Management (CPIM)

Languages

• English: Fluent

Advantageous

• Experience with ERP systems: Proven experience in using ERP software for inventory control.
