Job Description

We are seeking a talented Mechanical Engineer to join our dynamic team in Port Elizabeth. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in designing, developing, and improving mechanical systems. You will work closely with other engineers and stakeholders to ensure our projects are delivered on time and meet client specifications.

Responsibilities

• Develop technical drawings and specifications for mechanical designs.
• Evaluate designs and provide recommendations for improvement.
• Liaise with suppliers for material selection and procurement.
• Ensure compliance with safety and regulatory standards in all designs.
• Conduct root cause analysis on engineering issues and implement corrective actions.
• Participate in project planning and budgeting activities.
• Mentor and train junior engineers and interns.
• Review and approve project documentation and reports.

Requirements

Education

• Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering is preferred

Experience

• 5+ years of experience in mechanical engineering

• ANSYS

Languages

• English: Fluent

Advantageous

• Certification in Six Sigma: Proven expertise in Six Sigma methodologies to improve processes.
