Responsibilities

• Conduct evaluations for dogs to establish training suitability.
• Lead specialized classes for obedience, agility, and service preparation.
• Enhance client engagement through effective communication.
• Incorporate enjoyable and interactive methods in training sessions.
• Manage any behavioral issues that arise during training.
• Develop and maintain client relationships for ongoing support.
• Provide follow-up consultations after training sessions.
• Foster a safe and positive training environment.
• Document training outcomes and provide feedback to clients.
• Participate in staff training and development initiatives.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Animal Sciences or related field
• Certification in professional dog training is a plus

Experience

• 3+ years of experience in diverse dog training environments.

• Behavioral Assessment Techniques

Certifications

• CPDT-KA Certification
• AKC Canine Good Citizen Evaluator

Languages

• English: Fluent
• Afrikaans: Basic
