Job Description

We're on the lookout for a Veterinarian who is passionate about animal health. The right candidate will provide comprehensive veterinary services and contribute to the welfare of pets in our care.

Responsibilities

• Perform comprehensive health checks on various animal species.
• Administer medications and oversee recovery from surgical procedures.
• Educate pet owners about health and nutrition.
• Participate in continuing education and training programs.
• Conduct laboratory tests and interpret results.
• Oversee the training of junior vets and interns.
• Respond to emergency situations and provide urgent care.
• Contribute to the development of best practices within the clinic.
• Assist with the management of clinic operations.

Requirements

Education

• Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM)
• Postgraduate qualifications are an added advantage

Experience

• 3+ years of experience in small animal practice

Technical Skills

• Anesthesia
• Emergency Care

Soft Skills

• Teamwork
• Attention to Detail

Languages

• English: Fluent
• Zulu: Basic

Advantageous

• Certification in Animal Behaviour: Expertise in animal behaviour and training.
• Experience in a specialty field: Experience in a specific area of veterinary medicine, such as dermatology or internal medicine.
