Job Description

We are on the lookout for a Veterinary Surgeon committed to excellence in animal care to join our Stellenbosch practice. The successful candidate will be involved in all aspects of veterinary medicine, including diagnostics, treatment, and performing surgeries.

Responsibilities

  • Diagnose illnesses and injuries in animals through physical examinations and analysis.
  • Perform surgical procedures with precision and care.
  • Lead the veterinary team during clinical operations.
  • Develop treatment plans and discuss them with pet owners.
  • Educate clients about preventive care and health management.
  • Ensure compliance with veterinary regulations and standards.
  • Foster a positive environment for team members and clients alike.
  • Support animal welfare initiatives and community outreach programs.

Requirements

Education
  • Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM)
  • Postgraduate qualification in veterinary medicine is advantageous
Experience
  • 5+ years of specialized veterinary experience
