Job Description

The Labor Relations Director will drive the strategic management of labour relations within the organisation, ensuring compliance with South African labour laws, negotiating collective agreements, and fostering an environment conducive to communication and collaboration.

Responsibilities

  • Lead negotiations with employee representatives and unions.
  • Spearhead the development of strategies to resolve workplace disputes effectively.
  • Ensure that the organization adheres to relevant legislation and collective agreements.
  • Facilitate training for staff on labour relations topics and procedural guidelines.
  • Enhance workplace communication protocols between management and staff.
  • Advocate for fair and equitable treatment of all employees.
  • Evaluate and analyze labour statistics to inform policy adjustments.
  • Foster positive employee relations through proactive initiatives.
  • Collaborate with legal advisors to handle complex labour matters.
  • Analyze trends in labour relations to preemptively address potential issues.

Requirements

Education
  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field
Experience
  • Minimum of 10 years' experience in labour relations and compliance management.
