Job Description

We are seeking a strategic Industrial Plant Manager to oversee all operations in our Johannesburg facility. This role involves managing production schedules, ensuring compliance with safety standards, and driving initiatives for operational excellence. The ideal candidate should have a strong background in manufacturing and plant management.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee plant operations ensuring production targets are met.
  • Collaborate with R&D teams to optimise product development.
  • Evaluate and improve production methods to reduce costs.
  • Enforce strict adherence to workplace safety protocols.
  • Lead crisis management and incident response processes.
  • Ensure equipment maintenance is performed regularly.
  • Conduct performance reviews for plant staff.
  • Manage inventory levels and control costs.
  • Establish and monitor KPIs for operational excellence.
  • Create strategies for workforce development and succession planning.

Requirements

Education
  • Bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or similar
  • MBA or related advanced degree preferred
Experience
  • 10+ years of experience in manufacturing with leadership roles
