Construction Manager

Job Description

We are looking for a Construction Manager to lead our construction projects in Bloemfontein. This role requires strong leadership skills to manage teams, ensure adherence to project timelines, and uphold quality standards throughout the construction process.

Responsibilities

• Lead the planning and implementation of construction projects.
• Ensure the highest standards of safety and quality control on the project site.
• Develop and maintain relationships with clients, contractors, and suppliers.
• Conduct site evaluations and feasibility studies to guide project planning.
• Prepare and manage budgets, timelines, and project schedules.

Requirements

Education

• Master's degree in Construction Management or associated discipline is preferred

Experience

• 7+ years of experience in managing large-scale construction projects

Technical Skills

• Civil Engineering Principles
• Risk Assessment

Soft Skills

• Negotiation
• Time Management

Certifications

• LEED Accreditation
• Certified Construction Manager (CCM)

Languages

• English: Fluent
• Zulu: Basic

Advantageous

• Experience with BIM software: Practical knowledge of Building Information Modeling software for project management.
• Expertise in local zoning laws and regulations: Deep understanding of zoning laws applicable to construction in South Africa.
