Job Description

As a Teaching Assistant, you will play a vital role in supporting classroom activities, assisting teachers in delivering engaging lessons, and providing one-on-one support to students. The ideal candidate will possess strong communication skills, a passion for education, and a commitment to helping students succeed.

Responsibilities

• Facilitate small group activities and one-on-one support.
• Encourage student participation and engagement in learning.
• Assist teachers in planning lessons and instructional strategies.
• Help maintain a clean and organized classroom environment.
• Administer tests and assist in the evaluation of student work.
• Promote a positive and safe learning atmosphere.

Requirements

Education

• Diploma in Education or similar qualification

Experience

• At least 2 years of experience supporting teachers in a classroom environment.

Technical Skills

• Knowledge of teaching principles
• Familiarity with learning management systems (LMS)

Soft Skills

• Adaptability
• Problem-solving

Languages

• English: Fluent
• Zulu: Basic

Advantageous

• Experience working with adults in educational settings: Knowledge of adult learning principles and techniques.
