Job Description

The Water Commissioner will oversee the management and regulation of water resources in the designated area, ensuring compliance with water legislation and promoting sustainable water usage. Key responsibilities include collaboration with stakeholders and monitoring water quality.

Responsibilities

  • Engage in regular assessments of water resource availability and quality.
  • Implement effective water management strategies that comply with legislation.
  • Work with local communities and organizations to promote sustainable water usage.
  • Lead inspections and investigations concerning water regulation compliance.
  • Facilitate workshops and training on best practices for water resource management.
  • Manage the allocation of water permits and ensure adherence to regulations.
  • Coordinate with research teams to monitor environmental impacts on water resources.
  • Conduct public awareness campaigns on the importance of water conservation.
  • Compile and present data findings to senior management and stakeholders.

Requirements

Education
  • Master's degree in Water Resource Management or a related field
Experience
  • 7+ years of experience in water regulation
