Silo Erector

Job Description

As a Silo Erector, you will be responsible for the assembly and construction of grain silos and related structures. You should be detail-oriented and capable of operating heavy machinery, and have a solid understanding of construction safety protocols.

Responsibilities

• Construct silos and related storage facilities from start to finish.
• Utilize various tools and machinery for effective installation.
• Ensure proper safety measures are in place to protect all team members.
• Document all activities and maintain a clear ledger of work done.
• Evaluate and report on the condition of existing silos.
• Collaborate with site managers to ensure quality control.
• Assist in inventory management for materials on site.
• Follow up on machinery maintenance schedules and inspections.
• Lead training sessions for new hires on safety practices.
• Promote a culture of safety and compliance within the team.

Requirements

Education

• Matriculation certificate required
• Trade certificate in Structural Engineering preferred

Experience

• 2-5 years in construction and silo installation
