Tax Consultant

Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated Tax Consultant to join our Port Elizabeth team. The successful applicant will specialise in tax compliance and advisory for both individuals and businesses. You'll be responsible for preparing tax returns, advising clients on tax issues, and ensuring compliance with South African tax regulations.

Responsibilities

• Manage and prepare all aspects of tax compliance.
• Advise on South African tax law changes and implications.
• Act as a liaison between clients and tax authorities.
• Research and respond to client queries on tax matters.
• Assist in the preparation of tax-related financial reports.
• Support clients in tax planning and risk management.
• Identify and resolve discrepancies in tax filings.
• Stay informed about current tax laws and trends.
• Assist in training junior tax staff on compliance procedures.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
• Postgraduate qualification in Taxation (preferred)

Experience

• 3+ years of experience in tax consulting or related field
