Job Description

As an Art Therapist, you'll play a crucial role in supporting patients by using art as a medium for therapeutic purposes. You'll work in a multidisciplinary team to assess client needs, design effective treatment plans, and lead art therapy sessions.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct assessments to determine patient needs and appropriate therapeutic interventions.
  • Facilitate individual and group art therapy sessions.
  • Collaborate with other healthcare providers to coordinate comprehensive care.
  • Maintain confidentiality and adhere to ethical guidelines.
  • Evaluate the effectiveness of therapeutic techniques and modify as needed.
  • Document and report on patient progress to the multidisciplinary team.
  • Participate in community outreach programs promoting art therapy.
  • Engage in ongoing professional development and training.
  • Foster a supportive environment for patients through compassionate care.

Requirements

Education
  • Bachelor's degree in Psychology, Social Work, or related field
  • Art Therapy certification is a plus
Experience
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in therapeutic settings focusing on arts.
