Job Description

As a Wasteman, you will be responsible for overseeing waste disposal and recycling operations within our organization. Your role focuses on managing the collection, sorting, and disposal of waste materials, ensuring compliance with environmental standards while promoting cost-effective practices.

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily waste management operations to ensure compliance and efficiency.
• Work closely with cross-functional teams to drive waste reduction initiatives.
• Conduct training sessions on waste handling and recycling processes for staff.
• Regularly inspect waste disposal sites and report any issues.
• Develop educational programs for the community on waste management best practices.
• Prepare and present waste management reports to upper management.
• Research and implement innovative waste management solutions.
• Collaborate with local authorities to ensure compliance with regulations.
• Evaluate vendor contracts and ensure all services meet our standards.

Requirements

Education

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Diploma in environmental management or related field is an advantage

Experience

• At least 2+ years of experience in waste management or environmental services.

Technical Skills

• Waste management software
• Health and safety standards

• Communication skills

Languages

• English: Fluent

Advantageous
