Architect Job in Johannesburg

Job Description

We are looking for a passionate Architect to join our Johannesburg team. As an Architect, you will be involved in all stages of the design process, from conceptualization to project completion. You will collaborate with clients, engineers, and other stakeholders to deliver aesthetically pleasing and functional spaces that meet their needs.

Responsibilities

• Lead architectural design projects from inception to completion.
• Facilitate workshops with stakeholders to gather requirements.
• Draft and revise technical drawings using CAD software.
• Perform feasibility studies and site analysis.
• Coordinate with project managers and other team members to ensure project delivery.
• Oversee presentation of architectural designs to clients.
• Mentor junior staff and interns in design practices.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Architecture or related field
• Master's degree in Architecture is highly preferred

Experience

• 5+ years of relevant architectural experience

Technical Skills

• AutoCAD
• BIM Software

Soft Skills

• Leadership
• Negotiation

Certifications

• Certified Interior Designer (CID)
• Project Management Professional (PMP)

Languages

• English: Fluent

Advantageous

• Familiarity with green building practices: Knowledge of sustainable and eco-friendly construction methods.
• Experience with urban planning and landscape architecture: Experience in designing urban spaces that consider both function and aesthetics.
