Sewing Technician

Job Description

The Sewing Technician will operate and maintain industrial sewing machines and ensure high-quality textile production. Candidates must have a strong understanding of sewing techniques and quality control processes.

Responsibilities

• Setup and operate various types of sewing machines.
• Ensure the finished products meet quality control measures.
• Assist in training less experienced staff in sewing practices.
• Evaluate machine performance and report any issues.
• Maintain production records and reports.
• Coordinate with procurement for materials needed.
• Adhere to health and safety regulations at all times.
• Support other manufacturing tasks as necessary.
• Actively participate in team meetings and training sessions.

Requirements

Education

• Diploma or higher in Industrial Engineering or a related field

Experience

• 3+ years of experience in textile manufacturing.

• English: Fluent
• isiZulu: Conversational
