We are seeking a talented Mechanical Engineer to join our Johannesburg team. The ideal candidate will have a strong foundation in mechanical design principles, and will be responsible for developing and implementing engineering solutions for various projects. Working closely with cross-functional teams, you will contribute to the design and improvement of systems and components, ensuring they meet project specifications and client needs.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement testing protocols for mechanical products.
• Use CAD software to create detailed 3D models.
• Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations.
• Coordinate with suppliers and contractors for project delivery.
• Conduct site inspections and oversee installation.
• Perform failure analysis on components and systems.
• Implement lean engineering principles to improve manufacturing processes.
• Prepare and present design reviews for stakeholders.
• Contribute to sustainability initiatives within the company.
• Participate in project budgeting and timeline estimation.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field
• Master's degree preferred

Experience

• 3+ years of experience in mechanical engineering
