Wet Process Technician

Job Description

The Wet Process Technician will be responsible for operating and maintaining wet processing equipment in a manufacturing facility. This includes chemical processing, cleaning, and coating of materials used in production. Ideal candidates will have a strong understanding of chemical handling and safety protocols, as well as experience in a similar role.

Responsibilities

• Manage and oversee wet processing tasks ensuring efficiency.
• Prepare accurate chemical solutions while maintaining safety standards.
• Adjust and calibrate equipment to optimize performance.
• Conduct regular checks on equipment and perform preventative maintenance.
• Keep accurate records of chemical usage and processing outcomes.
• Collaborate with engineering teams for process optimizations.
• Provide training and guidance to junior technicians.
• Propose and implement solutions for process efficiency.
• Ensure a clean and safe work environment.

Requirements

Education

• Matric or equivalent
• Higher National Diploma in Chemical Engineering or related field is preferred

Experience

• 3-5 years of experience in a similar role
