Responsibilities

• Evaluate insurance applications and assess risk factors.
• Determine coverage amounts and premiums.
• Work closely with agents to gather necessary documentation and client information.
• Maintain up-to-date knowledge of industry regulations and compliance requirements.
• Prepare and present underwriting recommendations for approval.
• Analyze market trends to help determine pricing and coverage strategies.
• Establish and maintain relationships with clients and agents to enhance customer satisfaction.
• Review and revise existing policies periodically to ensure they remain relevant and compliant.
• Assist in training junior underwriters and support team efforts in achieving departmental goals.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Business, or related field
• Insurance-related qualifications are advantageous

Experience

• 3+ years of underwriting experience preferred
