Job Description

We are on the hunt for a dedicated Veterinary Technician to join our compassionate team in East London. The ideal candidate will play a pivotal role in providing healthcare for animals, assisting veterinarians with examinations and procedures, and ensuring that all animals receive appropriate care and support.

Responsibilities

• Prepare animals for examinations and surgeries.
• Collect and process laboratory samples as needed.
• Assist in the implementation of treatment plans.
• Maintain equipment and ensure proper functioning.
• Conduct health screenings and document findings.
• Provide support and comfort to anxious animals and their owners.
• Participate in ongoing training and professional development.

Requirements

Education

• Diploma in Animal Science or similar course
• Preference for candidates with a Veterinary Technician qualification

Experience

• At least 2 years in a veterinary clinic or animal hospital

Certifications

• Basic Life Support (BLS)

Languages

• English: Fluent
